Meetings

During the Fall 2005 semester, Board Members attended meetings weekly. In Spring 2006, meetings take place bi-weekly at Hale Halawai. All members are invited to attend EWCPA meetings.

EWCPA Weekly Movie Program
Every Friday and Saturday night, EWCPA shows movies in the reading room. The objective of the weekly movie program is to entertain and share various cultures through movie. The program will be held every Friday and Saturday, Hale Manoa Reading Room, at 7.30-10.30pm. The program also provides a limited refreshments and snacks.

EWCPA encourages every participant to register any movies from different countries to be shown in our program. The movie could be in VHS or DVD format as long as it has English subtitles on it. If you have any further concerns and questions please feel free to contact Paulo Maurin at maurin@hawaii.edu.


 

Safeway Shuttle on Sunday
The Safeway Shuttle is in service on Sundays from 9am to 12pm. All interested meet in the lobby of Hale Manoa at 9 a.m. to sign up on a first-come, first-serve basis. The shuttle will depart approximately every ½ hour to Safeway or Chinatown, depending on the itinerary. If you are interested being a volunteer driver, please email Carl at: polley@hawaii.edu. Being a volunteer driver will be counted as three hours of volunteer time towards your EWC community service requirement.

A typical schedule is as follows:

9:00 am Meet Up at Hale Manoa Lobby
9:10 Leave for Safeway
9:30 Leave for Chinatown
10:15 Pick-up from Safeway
10:30 Second run to Chinatown
10:50 First pick-up from Chinatown
11:15 Third run to Chinatown
11:45 Second pick-up from Chinatown
12:30 Final pick-up from Chinatown

EWCPA Olympics 2006Coming on April 1st and 2nd, this year’s activities include:

  • Badminton

Members who wish to make a presentation to EWCPA regarding matters within its purview should submit a written Activity Request Form to any board member.
